Carlie Wong is a Canadian fashion designer from Vancouver, B.C. Upon graduating with a degree in Fashion Design, she apprenticed for couturier Manuel Mendoza, where she found her true calling. As a testament to her design philosophy, Carlie's work features quality construction, attention to fine detail and a strong eye for silhouette and proportion.

Carlie's collections are often inspired by traveling, architecture and history, as she seamlessly fuses classical with modern elements. Though heavily influenced by legends of the past, her work is kept current in style, fabric and fit. Each piece is meticulously crafted and finely tailored to the highest standards.

Favouring a palette of black and white, Carlie often experiments with manipulating fabrics into unique textures. Her focus is to create feminine, luxurious pieces that translate from work to evening, utilizing high quality, imported fabrics and expert craftsmanship. Carlie believes that a perfect fit, quality resources, and strong attention to detail allows her clothing to transcend all generations.

Carlie Wong attained national exposure in the series "Project Runway Canada". She has been working hard to establish her brand in the months after the series. Carlie is a local celebrity whose designer profile has been showcased in magazines such as Ricepaper, Elle Canada, Vancouver LifeStyles and Westender. Carlie Wong's Fall 2008 collection made its debut on March 19, 2008 in Toronto Fashion Week. Her collection was well-received and given critical praise for her bold decision to go with an all black ensemble. Her black dresses were each unique, elegant and classic with fine detail in style, texture and fabric. Carlie is a success at differentiating her brand from others.
