Evan Biddell won the hearts of fashion fanatics across Canada when he was proclaimed the winner of Project Runway Canada. What is amazing about his story is that he is a self-taught designer whose raw talent and perseverance brought him to where he is now. No one would have guessed that he had not done a collection before the show and it was definitely a wonder to see the amazing designs he creates. He started making clothes as an overweight teenager who had trouble shopping at the local mall. With his passion and innate sense of style, he has created skater gear to bridal gowns. His "Street Couture" gets noticed. His work is described as loud and clean. Boutiques in Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria have featured his clothes and he takes custom orders. He has also worked as a costume maker for film and television.

Biddell was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Despite his success and current exposure, Evan Biddell remains a humble soul inside. I asked him if I could add a profile on him and was surprised that he responded by saying "I don't know how awesome I am though". Evan Biddell might be a Leo who loves the center of attention but he shares the attention with his well-deserved companions and gives credit to those that have helped him along the way.
