Jeff Spec, MC & Producer
Jeff has been making a name for himself as one of the West Coast's MCs to watch for over a decade now, releasing albums on his own and with indie labels since the mid 90's. While his focus is MCing, which is how he got his start around '89, he has been producing for himself and others for about the past 7 years. Jeff has shared stages with Ice T, Xzibit, The Beatnuts, MOP, De La Soul, Digital Underground, The Luniz, The Pharcyde, Souls Of Mischief, Non Phixion, The Alkaholiks, Mixmaster Mike, Kardinall Offishall, Rahzel the Godfather Of Noise, Saafir, Living Legends, Funkdoobiest, Abstract Rude, Aceyalone, Kool Keith, Mystic Journeymen, Saukrates, and many more. In 2001, his crew, City Planners was featured in URB Magazine's Next 100 issue, and the next year, Jeff received a nod from Universal Urban, who released his radio single, "Never Can Say Goodbye", on vinyl. Since then, Jeff has embarked on tours in Canada and the U.S., and in 2006 saw his album "Rhythm and Blues" hit the top 10 on the !earshot and Chart Attack charts. Never one to slack, he has kept his name buzzing with mixtapes and full length albums like "The Last Shall Be First" (volumes 1&2), "Motion Picture", and his most recent LP, "...a little night music".
