At age five, Jigs Dimaculangan was enrolled in his first classical piano lesson. At twelve, he received his first electronic keyboard from his parents. Using his new keyboard and two cassette tape recorders, Jigs created his first sequenced recording. A love for music composition was born. At fourteen, he picked up the alto sax playing Jazz for his high school stage band. He has since learned to play the guitar and drums and has an ongoing thirst for learning and experimenting with music.
In 2004, Jigs became the writer and producer for No Plan B. Entertainment. Since then, his crew have been working hard to create a catalog of music and beats to help build their record label, artists and experience. In 2007, Jigs and No Plan B. released their debut album "Instant Classics. Volume One" - the album that introduced the world to No Plan B.'s music.
As a performer, the past two years have been very good for Jigs. He has performed at popular Vancouver showcases like "For The Luv Of It" and was an integral part of the sold out concert, "Soundtrack '07". Jigs won the crowd over with his performances of "Simplistic" and "Reacquainted". Also, his duet with San Francisco recording artist Passion "Life's Too Short" has garnered numerous visits on YouTube.
"It was never my intention to be a music producer. I just love to compose - whether it's for someone else or me. I love hearing a final product. I like making people feel emotions and hear melodies that go through my mind and are fun to sing, too. If people happen to like certain songs then that's great and kind of flattering," Jigs says. "I believe that making music that is timeless and classic is all part of the No Plan B. experience. Just remember, when you hear our music you feel our hearts."
